Message For those of you who haven't donated and are looking for somewhere to give, Damon and I have settled on UNICEF. After all the reports of Red Cross mismanagement of funds after 9/11, we felt that UNICEF was a better charity to send our personal donations to. See the Unicef Main Web Site to see what they do. The full name: United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund makes it pretty obvious ;-)

Hundreds of thousands of children have been displaced and/or orphaned due to the tsunami and likely many more will be affected in the near future with lack of food and disease.

For this effort, we are not going to organize an official donation program through tt.NET where we gather the funds and then submit them at once. It's just as easy to submit individually and there's really no value-add in us being the intermediary. If you have already donated to some other charity, that's great. We just felt that some of you who haven't donated, but wanted to, might like to use this as a quick way to help.

If you are in the US, this page takes you directly to the US arm of UNICEF to donate SPECIFICALLY for tsunami relief.

For Canada (The Canadian gov't is matching all donations through Jan 11):

Canada Emergency Relief Donation Page

If you are not in the US or Canada, this is the main UNICEF page where you can select your country and then donate. Look in the subsequent pages for a link to donate specifically for tsunami or earthquake relief.

Mr. K gets it!
